Clutter is Like Laundry

Clutter is like laundry, every week it piles up! 

Such as, incoming mail, packages, papers, receipts, and delayed decisions on whether to keep items, or where to store new items. 

Clutter also builds up in your car, wallet, and purse on a weekly basis.

The good news is you can keep up with clutter on a weekly basis. You just have to be conscious of putting aside 15 or 30 minutes each week. 

This could be in the evening or weekend. I find mornings are the best time for me to declutter.

  • Get into the habit of hanging up your shirt before going to sleep.

  • Ideally get into the habit of keeping up with your house on a daily basis.

  • Adopt new routines of putting things away on a daily basis.

  • Just like you make your bed every day.

  • Hang up your clothes.

  • Shred your incoming mail.

  • Keep your daily clutter in a basket, wherever it piles up.
